Rank all 24 teams that have played in a College Football Playoff national championship game, from the 2014 season through the 2025 season, from greatest to least great. Judge each team on that one season only: how dominant it was, who it beat, how it fared on the biggest stages and how much talent it carried. The title game result is part of the record, and how much weight it gets is your call. The sheet covers both the four-team era (2014-2023) and the 12-team era (2024 on), so remember that the later teams had to win more playoff games, and that the 2020 teams played shortened pandemic schedules.
How to vote: Move teams onto Your Ballot with + Rank, by dragging a row over, or by typing a number in the # box at the start of any row (a number past the end of your ballot puts the team at the bottom). Then drag, type a new number in the rank box, or use the arrows to order all 24. Everything saves automatically in this browser. When all 24 are ranked, hit Submit Ballot; you can resubmit any time before the deadline and your latest ballot replaces the earlier one, as long as you use the same name. Copy for Sheets is the backup if the submit fails.
Table order: the table opens newest season first, champion before runner-up. That is a neutral starting order, not a ranking. Click any column header to sort by it; hover the i markers for what each column counts.
Comparing: My Ballot shows your ranked teams in ballot order with every column, and All shows ranked and unranked teams together (ranked rows carry their number and a green dot). vs adds a team to the compare tray at the bottom of the page (up to four), and the Season detail has a button to line a team up against the opponent it met in the title game. Hide Panel folds the ballot into a slim bar on the right; click the bar to bring it back, or drag a team onto it to add it to the end of your ballot.
